Coming Home !!!!!!!

Monday is going to be a very busy day for the Wilson's. David will have his pic line out. He will have his car seat check done (he has to sit in a car seat for 2 hours without any breathing problems) and the discharge stuff will start (its an all day thing). Brooke has an ob appointment with Dr. Savath at 8 AM and then off the Children's Hospital. We have to do a colostomy class and Keith has to do a CPR class, in the morning. After that, David has to be able to lacth on to Brooke with no problems and Brooke and Keith have to be able to take care of David Colostomy without any problems. Then we have to stay the night with him and take care of him thru the night. The nurse staff want to make sure we feel comfortable taking care of him and his colostomy thru the night. Which we will. That is all the updates for now. Post again soon with Pics.

In and out of surgery.

Update....
First of all about Brooke. She went to her doctor's appointment and she found out that she lost 2 liters of blood not one. Her body only holds 5 liters to begin with. She is doing fine now.

David went into surgery this afternoon about 1230pm. He came out of surgery at about 3pm. The plan changed while they were in surgery. They decided to put in a colostomy bag for now. He will have to have surgery again in 3 to 4 months to fix his exit port (butt hole) and then have to have surgery again after about 6 to 8 weeks to take out the colostomy bag.

At 700pm tonight, he had is breathing thing out and is breathing on his own with just a little bit of oxygen just in case. He will start getting breast milk tomorrow morning and be on his way to getting home. All for now.

One problem down, here comes another.

New update....

Brooke is feeling better. She got her two units of blood because she was low from labor. She is doing better with her new blood. She is still very sore and her milk is starting to come in so she can start to feed David. She was also discharge from St. E on Saturday night and is home and re cooping.

As for David...He is currently at St. Louis Children's Hospital and is doing better. His breath is almost no longer an issue at this time. He will have to go in tomorrow morning for surgery to repair his "imperfect anus". If you are asking what is that just Google it. The good news about it is that the gap is only off by 0.5 of a cm. The surgen team said it was good and shouln't give him much trouble in the future. As off right now that is the extendent of it. They told us that he should be coming off the breathing stuff after surgery if all goes well. We also attached some pictures. That is all for now. Thanks to all.

Updates on David and Mommie

As of right now David started turning the worng way (he is gettin a little worse breathing) but the nurse and doctor said he would before he gets better. They took him off the hood and put him on the C Pap this morning around 6 AM. Mommie is doing ok today she is weak and tried. She lost a liter of blood thru her labor and delivery. The OB doc wants to keep her a couple extra days until she gains her strength back. Nana and Papa (Brooke's Mom and stepdad) are here visiting there new arrival. (Keith) Dad is doing well taking care of Brooke and making her feel good and runnig back and forth to check on the dogs while we are in the hospital. Rugie has been awesome by staying with them at night while we are here. Christie and Dani have also been awesome while staying with Brooke while the grandparents and Keith get stuff ready for when we go home. Which is undetermine right now.
